The Cato is cut from solid North American oak, FAS-grade, with no veneers or panels to interrupt the grain. Edges are rounded, the backrest follows a gentle arc, and an open-pore clear lacquer keeps the surface matte and touchable.

Day to day it works hard without saying so. The seat sits wide and deep, the curved back supports the spine through long dinners, and non-slip feet keep it planted. The lacquered surface wipes clean, and assembly is straightforward with the included hardware and instructions.
