The Alvar stands 70.1 inches high and 31.9 inches wide, its beaded frame cast in iron with an aged gold finish over an engineered-wood structure. The glass is 5-millimeter and distortion-free, filmed on the back so it holds together rather than scatters if damaged.
It works two ways: free-standing on its stand, or wall-hung from pre-installed reinforced clips, with all hardware in the box. The scale gives a complete view for dressing and doubles the apparent light wherever it lands.
